How to Rip Discord Emoji

How to Rip Discord Emoji

So you can have it for yourself.

  1. Navigate to Discord in a Web Browser.

    1. I'm using Chrome for these instructions, but they all have similar tooling.

  2. Log in, and navigate to a channel that currently has the emoji in use.

  3. Open the browser's Console (with F12 on Chrome), and go to the Sources tab.

  4. in the Sidebar, you should see cdn.discordapp.com. Open it, then open the emojis folder.

    1. Within, there will be a list of long numbers like this:
      1544494594404786226

  5. Each one of those items is a file. Click through them to see the file appear in the main panel.

  6. Locate your emoji in this group, preferably the ?size=<largest> one, &animated if possible.

  7. Click your emoji so that it is loaded into the main panel.

  8. Right click the emoji in the main panel, and choose Save image as....

  9. In the pop-up, navigate to where you'd like to save the emoji file (I like Desktop or Downloads)

  10. Click Save when you're ready.

  11. In your File Explorer, locate the file you just downloaded.

  12. You now have the emoji file you can use however you like; as an image inline in a post, uploaded to your own discord server for future use, or like this:
